Plastic Space
Plastic Space investigates ideas surrounding constructed landscapes and the commercialization of outerspace. In this project students explore the viability of colonizing a newly discovered planet containing an atmosphere similar to Earth. In order to populate our new planet, artists design and create a piece of flora or other life sustaining device.
For the spring 2023 project students designed cardboard flora and life sustaining devices.
For the spring 2022 project students designed inflatable flora and installed their projects in a twelve foot geodesic dome.
