The Community Quilt is a participatory project requiring input from thousands of people, each of whom will literally lend their hand to create a large public artwork. The quilt is made up of colorful anodized aluminum triangles, etched with the fingerprint of each participant, and connected into a large flexible “blanket” that can be installed in a variety of public locations in durations ranging from brief interventions to extended installations.

Every participants’ contribution is unique and equally important to the artwork as a whole.  The scale of The Community Quilt will grow as more participants take part, and the name of each participant will be archived and listed as a collaborator on the project at each installation site.
