The Hallmark Prize seeks to empower normal citizens to acknowledge the contributions of others and promotes recognition for people that may otherwise be overlooked. Working in oil-based modeling clay, each student creates an original design for The Hallmark Prize medal and an external jury selects two student’s design for production. The selected design is digitally scanned, 3D printed, and multiples are cast in pewter. Each artist Identifies an acquaintance worthy of recognition and bestows their unique version of The Hallmark Prize.
